Would you like to be a model for an apprentice?

Fill out the form below and please include the specific hair service you are looking for as well as a current photo of your hair and a photo of the hair you would like to have.

Submissions without photos will not be considered.

Submission is not a guarantee of service and all educational services are subject to a model fee.

If you are contacted by an apprentice to be a model, they will notify you of the service cost before your appointment.

All models must sign a release form before service begins.

Model Expectations

Here at Expressions by Design, continued education is very important to us.  All of our apprentice team members are licensed professionals who are looking to grow their skills and eventually take clients in our space.  Our education team members all work full-time behind the chair and are all well versed in hair coloring, cutting, and styling needs. They work very closely with the apprentice staff to ensure a beautiful end result during model visits.

Please understand that this is a classroom setting. We will do our best to get your appointment started as close to your scheduled time as possible.  Due to many unforeseen situations, your appointment cannot be timed.  We will not and cannot guarantee a completion time for your service. It is crucial that the apprentice does not feel rushed and gets an educational benefit from each model service.

Each apprentice is at a different stage in their program. Because of this, your desired end result may not be possible in one visit, and you may be redirected to work with an apprentice more appropriate for your needs. Your apprentice will work with their educator to get you as close to your desired look as possible, keeping in mind that your current hair state will set parameters for what is and is not possible for your hair.

All model participants are required to sign a waiver prior to services that will list the cost of services performed. Model services are not guaranteed, and there are no re-do appointments. All services at Expressions by Design are a la carte, and each process will be charged appropriately to cover the cost of products.

• Please arrive 15 minutes early to check-in and get changed
• All of our services are charged a la carte
• You must sign a model waiver before your service begins
• There are no refunds or redos
• If you are unhappy with your service, you must notify the educator before leaving the salon
• An educator will work step-by-step with the apprentice
• The service cannot be timed
• All of the products being used are professional
• The apprentice may choose to be silent for concentration reasons
• You will receive a complimentary blowout with all color services
